First part : Conversion of files TOD in MPEG-2 standard without loss to the help of the software Converio

1/ Connection of Everio camcorder to a PC via the USB.

  1. Connect the camcorder on your PC to the help of the USB.

  2. Turn on the camcorder.

  3. In the menu which appears in the LCD screen camcorder, select reading on the PC.

  4. Under Windows Vista, a window " EVERIO_HDD (F:)  » (F: is the letter affected by Windows to hard disk of camcorder) appears by offering you 'What action do you want Windows to do? ". Select do nothing, or close the window.

    If the software PowerCinema is already installed on your PC, the latter will launch automatically when the connection the camcorder. Close then the application.
    New disks must appear in your file explorer ; or a disk EVERIO_HDD (F:) and a new Removable Disk (G:).

2/ Launch and setting up the software Converio

  1. Launch the software by double clicking on the icon corresponding, on the office, or by going in the Start menu, all the programs, and then Converio 2.0 Converio.

  2. Once the software Converio open, go to the Tools menu and then Preferences [Ctrl+P]. The Preferences window is displayed.

  3. Has the tab Plugins external, in the area multiplexer, check that the line DVDAuthor is properly configured.

    Or, for DVDAuthor, the value :
    C:\program files\converio 2.0\DVDAuthor\dvdauthor.exe

  4. Always be on the line DVDAuthor, support on the icon located on the left of the diskette, configuration – setup to define the preferences of multiplexing.

    Among the document formats available, the formats Generic MPEG2 or Without/None can be used. For the value of the Video Buffer HD, it must be of 2000. Validate by clicking OK.

  5. Remember the new settings by clicking on the Validate button.

    The previously described settings are the settings saved by default during the installation of the software Converio.

3/ Import of files in the software Converio

Now we are going to import files via the software Converio. For this several methods are possible, the import automatic or manual files and the import of the complete contents of a directory.

3-1/ Import all files automatically

  1. To import all files automatically, select the Import command automatically from the File menu [Ctrl+F1] or click on the icon  . The software Converio will analyze all removable disks and to find all the files .TOD for the import automatically.

    This function is also important pictures JPEG placed on these media.
    The importation may take more or less time according to the number of file to import.

  2. Skip to step 4/

3-2/ Import one or several files manually

  1. For the import one or several files manually select the Import command a file in the File menu [Ctrl+I] or click on the icon  . A dialog box appears.

  2. Select files to import (ex : MOV002.TOD) the camcorder (EVERIO_HDD (F:)), and click on the button Open.

    The importation may take more or less time according to the number of files to import.
    A progress bar indicates the progress of the import.

  3. Skip to step 4/

3-3/ Import the complete content of a selected folder

  1. To import the contents of a complete file, select the Import command a folder on the File menu [Ctrl+D] or click on the icon  .

  2. In the dialog box that appears, select the removable disk EVERIO_HDD, and click on the folder SD_VIDEO, then on the desired directory (ex: PRG00C).

     

  3. Validate by clicking on the OK button.

  4. A dialog box Filters for the import appears.

    Has the line Type choose HDD Files HD (*.tod). Check Analyze the sub-directories. Thus, all the contents of the folder SD_VIDEO will be analyzed, including the sub-directories (PRG00A, PRG00B, etc. ),

    The importation may take more or less time in function of the number of file to import, and of the method of import chosen in the preferences (use in priority the normal mode).
    A progress bar indicates the progress of the import.

4/Treatment/conversion of files

  1. Once the list of files completely loaded, choose in the Edit menu the command Select any [Ctrl+A].

    For those who have chooses the automatic import it is necessary to delete in advance the photos.

  2. In the Processing menu select Copy/Rename [F2].

  3. Always with the list selected, in the Edit menu select destination Directory [Ctrl+R]. In the dialog box that appears, choose a directory of export to copy your MPEG files. Validate by clicking on the OK button.

    Verify that the destination location has sufficient disk space for storing the files.
    For the files TOD, it is useless to apply a correction of aspect ratio ; they are of origin in format 16/9.

  4. Select in the Edit menu, Exchange extension [F11], for the file of destination, in the column Destination, door well the extension .MPG.

    Each validation of the order extension Exchange [F11] change alternatively the extension of selected files, in the column Destination, as follows TOD->MPG->M2T->TOD.

    You can also click on the icon To change the extension of the selected files.

  5. Launch now the conversion of files by selecting in the Tools menu the command Processing of the list [Ctrl+T] or by pressing the button  . It may take more or less time according to the number of files to convert. A progress bar informs you on the progress of treatment.

    The software Converio also offers the functions of classification and archiving. You can create in the destination folder sub-folders in the light of the year, of the month or day of filming of sequences TOD, or complete the name of the original file with the information.
    These settings are available in the Preferences [Ctrl+P] of menu Tools to tab Registration.

  6. TO the end of the conversion of files, you can close the application.

Alternative Method for the conversion of files

The software Converio proposes from its version 2.3.9 a method for converting fast.

  1. Click on the icon  . At the end of the analysis of removable disks, a dialog box opens.

  2. In the area Source of the files to convert, choose either in the list Support the disk containing the files to convert, either to the line file the directory containing the files to convert.

  3. To the line Type of conversion, choose from the drop down list Copying and Renaming MPEG-2.

  4. In the section Destination of the files converted, you set the target location. Click on the icon in the form of folder to select the directory of destination.

  5. Click convert to launch the conversion.

    The software Converio will use the parameters set by default (see part 1, paragraph 2)

  6. TO the end of the conversion of files, you can close the application.

Second part : Treatment of files converted into MPEG-2 in the software Pinnacle Studio 11 More

  1. Run the Studio software 11 More by double clicking on the icon corresponding, on the office, or by going in the Start menu, all the programs, Studio 11 then studio.

    Only the version or higher of More Studio software allows the care of the High Definition.

  2. In the Setup menu select Preferences of project. The window configuration Options of Pinnacle Studio Plus appears.

    Select the Preferences tab of project. Then, in the area Format of project select set from the first clip of the project.

  3. Always in the window configuration Options, select the Source tab of capture.

    In the area Detection of scenes during capture video, select No automatic detection. This will avoid that the software will not make a scene analysis unnecessary for this type of file. Then, validate the changes by clicking on the OK button.

  4. In the menu Overview, select Edition.

  5. In the menu Album, select Video captured.

  6. For the import all video files, click on the file import from a different folder.

  7. Open the folder containing the MPEG-2 files created previously with the software Converio, and then select a file. The software Studio will import all files of the same extensions contained in this dossier. Then, click on the Open button.

  8. To insert a sequence in the plan of mounting, select a sequence. Then, while now the left button of the mouse supported, move the cursor of the mouse to the Assembly plan. Release, the file is now in the assembly plan. For the other files follow the same procedure.

    You can select several sequences and the move in the assembly plan. They are position in the order of selection.
    Your project will be carried out format 1920 x 1080.

  9. The next step is to build your mounting.

    To know the various options and mounting capabilities, you can refer to the help topic of the software. For this click Help Topics in the Help menu.

  10. Once the mounting finished, you do not have to produce a media to view. Click on the tab Create a film.

    The Studio software More suggest by default parameters HD to high quality; either HD 720p (1280 x 720 in 15000 kbps equivalent HD Ready), HDV2 1080i (1440 x 1080 in 25000 kbps recording mode equivalent 1440 CBR equivalent HDV) and HD 1080i (1920 x 1080 30000 kbps recording mode equivalent FHD or FULL HD).

  11. To export the mounting in the form of file HD, select in the left banner the tab File. Then select the mode of refund the highest, either FULL HD : click on drop-down list Type of file on the line MPEG-2 and in Préréglage on the line HD 1080i.

  12. Click Create file. A dialog box opens. Choose a location and a name for the file. Click the OK button, the creation of the file starts.

  13. Once the creation of the file complete, you can close the Studio software and burn your mounting.

    If you wish to copy the file resulting from the fitting on a DVD with a view to view from a drive such as the CU-VD40 from JVC, you must use a burning software and create a disc with the UDF format.

Third part : Engraving of file resulting from the mounting in view of the view on a station in engraving at the help of the software Cyberlink Power2Go 5.5 Lite.

  1. Run the software Cyberlink Power2Go 5.5 Lite (provided with the recorder) by double clicking on the icon corresponding, on the office, or by going in the Start menu, all the programs, and then Cyberlink Power2Go Power2Go.

  2. In the window selection of a task of engraving appeared to the screen, click on disk of data, and then in the type of disk on DVD. Validate by clicking on the OK button.

  3. In the tree Selection of the source, open the folder (2nd part, paragraph l) containing the file created previously by the software mounting Pinnacle Studio. Select it and import it in the area Compilation of the disc pressing the button Add the files to the compilation Or by selecting add in the menu Edit.

    You can also use the function Drag-and-Move to import your files in the area of compilation.

  4. In the menu Engraving, choose the command Burn Disc [Ctrl+R]. The Configuration window/information appears.

    In the Data tab, select UDF 1.5 for the file system, which will permit to save files of large size. In the tab burner, click Verify the recording data. Click on the Burn button to start the engraving of disk.

  5. Writing to the disc begins.

  6. Once the engraving completed, a window bearing the message data Drive : completed successfully appears. Click on OK. The disc tray opens, get the disk and close the application.

  7. It is finished. You can now reread the disc on the CU-VD40 from JVC.

    The drive JVC CU-VD40 accepts sequences MPEG-2 FULL HD (1920x1080), HDV (1440 x 1080), HD Ready (1280 x 720) and SD (720 x 576).

    Situation:
    Some disk recordable DVD, including those not forming part of the list of media recommended (page 4 of the notice CU-VD10/20 or page 25 of the notice CU-VD40), are not recognized or present problems reading/writing with the stations of engraving CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40.

    Solution:
    The problem is generated by a bad reflectance of disks used. To increase the tolerance of stations engraving JVC, it is necessary to update their firmware (firmware)

    1/ Control the firmware version of the recorder
    (A) Connect the writer CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40 to the PC via the USB connector.

    B) to Connect the AC adapter burner CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40 then put the selector located at the rear, in a position "ON"

    (C) once the writer CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40 detected on your computer, launch the software Power2Go. (Origin delivered with your burner CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40).

    (D) Select the tool Options settings "configuration, information on the disk".

    (E) In the new window that appears, select the recorder CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40 to view the firmware version.
    If the latter is different from "26 » then pass to step 2/
     

    2/ Download the file corresponding update to your burner CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40

    Unzip this file with the application of decompression WinZIP of your computer.
    You get then a file in ISO format : 26-VD**-R2.iso 2050 Kb.

    3/ Burn Disc of update to the help of burner CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40
    (A) Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW disc into the
    (B) Launch the software Power2Go. (Origin delivered with your burner CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40).
    (C) Select the menu '' and then 'Engraving disk image Burn'.
    (D) Choose the file .iso corresponding burner CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40.
    (E) Click on 'Burn'.

    When your disk is properly engraved, only a INDEX.htm file must be present on your hard disk.

    4/ Update the firmware of your burner CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40
    (A) Disconnect the writer CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40 of your computer.
    B) to Connect the AC adapter burner CU-VD10, CU-VD20 or CU-VD40 then put the selector located at the rear, in a position "ON".
    (C) Open the drawer and insert the disk.
    (D) Close the drawer.
    The update starts automatically and lasts approximately 1 minute.
    (E) once the updating carried out, the disc is automatically ejected.
    The update is complete.

    Situation:

    - Les touches directionnelles de la télécommande n'agissent pas par intermittence.
    - L’optimisation de l’espace colorimétrique (gamut) par le « Color Management System» n’est pas toujours conforme aux standards de fidélité colorimétrique utilisés en cinéma (uniquement pour modèle HD750).

    Solution :

    Installer la version v1.1 du micro programme interne (‘firmware’) SUB CPU.

    Il existe un ‘firmware’ SUB CPU différent pour chaque modèle de projecteur :
    - SUBHD350-20090409_01.zip pour le modèle HD350. (2.10 Mo)
    - SUBHD750-20090408_01.zip pour le modèle HD750. (2.19 Mo)

    Vérifier que l’appareil nécessite cette mise à jour :
     Tous les appareils ayant un numéro de série inférieur à 114XXXXX doivent être mis à jour.

    La mise à jour peut être réalisée par l’utilisateur, par le revendeur ou par l’installateur.

    Procédure de mise à jour du firmware 

    Important :
    Ne pas interrompre ni couper l'alimentation électrique du projecteur ou de l’ordinateur durant la mise à jour, car l'appareil deviendrait alors inutilisable et une entrée en atelier devrait être envisagé, dont les frais ne pourraient être couverts par la garantie.

    1- Configuration requise :
    - Logiciel JVC ILA-FPJ Updater v1.2 (cf §2)
    - Ordinateur sous Windows XP™ ou Windows Vista équipé d’un port USB.
    (Vous devez disposer des droits «administrateur»)
    - 1 câble ‘USB vers mini-USB’ standard et de longueur suffisante.
    - 1 tournevis cruciforme

    2- Opération à effectuer avant de commencer :
    En fonction du modèle de projecteur,
    a) Télécharger dans un nouveau dossier, le fichier nécessaire : 
    - «SUBHD350-2009040901.zip» (dans le cas du DLA-HD350).
    - «SUBHD750-2009040801.zip» (dans le cas du DLA-HD750).

    b) Décompresser le fichier archive dans le dossier initialement créé.
    Vous obtenez alors un fichier auto-installable, soit : 
    -ILAFPJ_Updater_for_HD350_V1_1.exe (dans le cas du DLA-HD350).
    -ILAFPJ_Updater_for_HD750_V1_1.exe (dans le cas du DLA-HD750).

    c) Exécuter le fichier obtenu pour l’installer sur l’ordinateur.
    Un dossier ILA-FPJ est créé dans le menu Démarrer-> Programmes ->ILA-FPJ
    Le programme complet se trouve dans le dossier
    -\Program Files\ILA-FPJ\Updater\HD350_V1_1\ (dans le cas du DLA-HD350). 
    -\Program Files\ILA-FPJ\Updater\HD750_V1_1\ (dans le cas du DLA-HD750).

    3- Configuration du projecteur en mode ‘Mise à Jour’ et installation du pilote USB :

    4- Chargement du nouveau ‘firmware’ du projecteur.

    Situation:

    -.Certains équipements tiers raccordés au vidéoprojecteur, tels que lecteurs BluRay, ou amplis A/V pouvaient générer des blocages de fonctionnement via la liaison HDMI. 
    La gestion HDMI a été renforcée à cet effet.

    - Dans le cas d’un montage plafond (appareil retourné), l’amplitude du réglage Lense Shift a été augmentée.

    - Les paramètres d’optimisation pour les toiles d’écran Theater House (modèle Theater Matte) ont été ajoutés pour le DLA-X7/X9

    - Les réglages de la gestion des couleurs (Color management) ont été rendus plus doux et plus progressifs (pour X7/X9)

    - La performance de la commutation 2D vers 3D et 3D vers 2D a été améliorée (pour X7/X9)

    Solution :

    Installer la version v1.5 du micro programme interne (‘firmware’).

    Il existe un ‘firmware’ différent pour chaque modèle de projecteur :
    - X3V1_5EN-Ver1.5.zip pour le modèle X3. (2.28 Mo)
    - X7V1_5EN-Ver1.5.zip pour le modèle X7 ou X9. (2.33 Mo)

    Tous les appareils en service trouveront avantage à être mise à jour.

    Le conseil JVC:
    Comment vérifier le niveau de mise à jour logiciel du décodeur MediaSat HD ?

    1. Allumer le décodeur
    2. Appuyer sur la touche MENU de la télécommande
    3. Sélectionner "réglages" puis "infos système"
    4. Lire la version du logiciel sur la ligne "fournisseur logiciel".

    Ce sont les trois derniers chiffres qui indiquent la version logicielle.

    En date du 26 mars 2007, le niveau du logiciel doit être: 62.6

      Situation:
      It may happen to remove, unfortunately, the data contained in the SD card, or need to configure a new SD card in replacement of the first lost or lost.

      Prerequisite:
      It is recommended to use the computer (Windows XP + DVD-ROM) used at the first put into service of your device (cf. leaflet to use the software, page 6 Chapter 1.4). The software Microsoft Active Sync which has been installed (see instructions for use of the camera, page 52) will be necessary.

      Solution:
      To reconfigure the SD card with the data of origins, it is necessary to follow the procedure:

      • Insert the SD card in the camera KV-PX70.
      • Connect the KV-PX70 on the computer.
      • Turn on the KV-PX70.
      • Launch the software Microsoft Active Sync.
      • Once the aircraft detected by the software Microsoft Active Sync, to launch the DVD-ROM " JVC NAVTEQ, Digital Road Map Europe " and choose the option TRANSFER THE SOFTWARE PACKAGE (This procedure starts by formatting the SD card and then copy the different startup files).

      This procedure is also indicated on the notice of the software navigation on page 7, chapter "Transfer of files of installation". This leaflet is located on the DVD-ROM (see note).

      Note:
      The aircraft is supplied with different notices :

      • 1 Leaflet printed condensed which summarizes the procedure for the use of the browser.
      • 2 Records complete and detailed present in the form of electronic files (pdf) in the CD-Rom provided.

      * The instructions for use of the aircraft is in the CD-Rom entitled " JVC, support CD '. It is the file Manual_fr.pdf located in the file: French / Manual.

      In order to increase the level of compatibility and the quality of the operation with the mobile phones to liaison Bluetooth, an upgrade of firmware (firmware) of your camera navigation is necessary.

      (B) a directory 'update' (this directory contains 3 sub-directories "JVCBT," "lang" and "MNAV')

      3/ As from DVD Rom provided with the KV-PX701, copy the file "Europe.map' (xx:\MAP Re-install\MAP Recovery\ update\Europe.map) in the folder 'update' of the SD card.

      In the final, and the tree of the SD card must present themselves as below.

      PROCEDURE FOR UPDATE
      (According to the appliances, steps 3, 4 and 5 may be slightly different)

      1) Turn on the KV-PX701 in feeding with the ac adapter.



      2) When the screen shows the image below then insert the SD update.


      3) Support on the Reset button
      Wait 5 seconds, the message " EBOOT update finish!!" appears on the screen.



      4) Supporting the Reset button
      Wait 30 seconds, the message " LOADER update finish!!" appears on the screen.



      5) Press the Reset button
      The following operations take place the logo JVC appears -> message "FORMATING -> OS Installation -> Copy files.
      40 60 Minutes will be necessary so that all the mapping is transferred.


      6) When the update is completed, the following screen is displayed. Then click on the icon.


      7) Select "Settings" and then "VERSION"
      Verify that the level of the version is "V3.06.18"



      8) The update is complete!
      Disconnect the ac adapter and remove the SD card.
