IP99-036: update of the list of radars road.

Situation:
The KV-PX70 provides, origin, of a function which allows to signal the different Points of Interest (petrol stations, hotels, etc ...) which the position of radars road, by visual warning or sound.

This function is carried out by the software application of basis POI Warner which contains the list of radars to day to November 2006.

If you want to update the list of radar, you must first obtain a more complete version of POI WARNER.

The full version of POI Warner must be download on the Internet site of NAVIGATING (www.navigating.de/cms/index.php?id=2803).

Attention: The full version of POI Warner is charge: 29 90€.

As regards the updates of the list of radar, several Internet sites propose them in free download or paying.

JVC France advocates the use of the service ALERTEGPS.COM

 1  Download the software paying POI-Warner.
 2  Installing the software POI-Warner
 3  Configuring and use the software POI-Warner.
 4  Update the list of Radars from the site www.alertegps.com.

IP99-043: compatibility KV-PX701 with mobile phones Bluetooth.

Situation:
Some mobile phones may not be recognized or cause a blocking of the functioning of KV-PX701 if the version of firmware of the latter is less than V3.06.18. (Consult the §7 of this info)

Solution:
In order to increase the level of compatibility and the quality of the operation with the mobile phones to liaison Bluetooth, an upgrade of firmware (firmware) of your camera navigation is necessary.

Prerequisite:
It is necessary to dispose of equipment following:
- Computer (Windows XP minimum + DVD-ROM)
- Drive (integrated or external) SD card.
- 1 Map SD 2 Go (type: SLC. mark recommended: SANDISK ) blank, formatted FAT
- 1 Implementation of decompression for .zip file (WinZip)

Preparation :
1/ Download the file below (73.189Mo)

2/ Decompress and then make a extraction of all the files directly at the root of the SD card.
You must obtain at the root:
(A) 3 files
- EBOOT.bin
- Format.hlx
- LOADER.IMG
(B) a directory 'update' (this directory contains 3 sub-directories "JVCBT," "lang" and "MNAV')

3/ As from DVD Rom provided with the KV-PX701, copy the file "Europe.map' (xx:\MAP Re-install\MAP Recovery\ update\Europe.map) in the folder 'update' of the SD card.

In the final, and the tree of the SD card must present themselves as below.

PROCEDURE FOR UPDATE
(According to the appliances, steps 3, 4 and 5 may be slightly different)

1) Turn on the KV-PX701 in feeding with the ac adapter.



2) When the screen shows the image below then insert the SD update.


3) Support on the Reset button
Wait 5 seconds, the message " EBOOT update finish!!" appears on the screen.



4) Supporting the Reset button
Wait 30 seconds, the message " LOADER update finish!!" appears on the screen.



5) Press the Reset button
The following operations take place the logo JVC appears -> message "FORMATING -> OS Installation -> Copy files.
40 60 Minutes will be necessary so that all the mapping is transferred.


6) When the update is completed, the following screen is displayed. Then click on the icon.


7) Select "Settings" and then "VERSION"
Verify that the level of the version is "V3.06.18"



8) The update is complete!
Disconnect the ac adapter and remove the SD card.

IP99-044: update of the list of radars road.

Situation:
The KV-PX701 provides, origin, of a function which allows to signal the position of radars road, by visual warning or sound.
This function Radar Info is not installed in the factory and must be installed from the DVD Rom accompanying the camera (see package leaflet french use : Radar install User Guide_FR.pdf present in the directory 'Radar Warner' ).

Radar Info contains the list of radar update on 12 November 2007. If you wish to update the list of radar, you must first install the full version of software POI-WARNER 3.

The full version of POI-Warner 3 must be downloaded on the Internet site of
NAVIGATING (http://www.navigating.de/cms/index.php?id=4751).
Attention: The full version of POI-Warner is a fee : 29 € 90.

Attention : The version of POI-Warner 3.11-463, distributed until July 25 2008, present a bug and must be upgraded by version 3.16-2097 . The operation is free and does not require no new activation for users already registered.

IP99-047: Improvement of the GPS navigation (update of the firmware)

Situation: improvement of certain functions of the navigation under certain conditions.
 

- The guidance can stop if a step is requested in a street closed.

- Circumvention traffic may not operate well that the option is selected.

Solution: update of firmware:

Download the update software (V1260EU.zip)

1- Data preparation for the update

2- Update of the product

3- Check if the version of the software has been updated

4- Put the menu in english
